Some time ago I took over the project management for a website relaunch. Only in the course of the familiarization phase did it become clear: in addition to the concept work, partner selection (agency, briefing), server conversion, new connections (customer card, cash register systems), we needed a tight time horizon.
In the first step, I got to know all stakeholders. Impressed by the multitude of possible experts (possible combinations), my luck was perfect. Responsible for the control were usability tests for the existing site (eye tracking), recommendations were given to agencies and all construction sites were tackled in parallel: content management system (CMS), corporate social responsibility (CSR), product information management (PIM) and yours Mechanisms with a well-rehearsed team are evaluated in order to ensure that current processes and future processes are fully prepared for the changeover.
At the same time, 1,000 hands and countless ears were ready to give their time to the corporate goal of a new website (Europe-wide rollout). A variety of ideas from sales, international marketing (customer relations) and the works council were essential for mutual success. Strong partner the IT (internal and external), the harmony between the implementing agency and the internal team.
The planning of a phase including implementation for Austria took place in record time. The participating stakeholders still meet with a smile today. Against all dangers, the best solution for my customer was always in sight.
