If you discuss different topics once a year (several times a year) with people who want to generate more knowledge, who don’t know each other and therefore have no idea what they have in common, then I’m usually in the “classroom”. I still don’t see myself as an educator. Because what I do is educational work, awareness work. detection work.
Even in small groups, participants often travel from western Austria to St Pölten. The statement “we don’t have anything like that here” is usually accompanied by their own disbelief and lack of understanding, coupled with a desperate helplessness. Hopelessness takes over and they persist in what they are doing. The healing takes place in two days. 😉 Everyone is in a similar situation. Everyone wants to do something differently, to do something better, to gain certification for their knowledge and to take control of a topic that requires a good ROI. The outside world demands this. It simply cannot be the case that one of the handful of important channels in your own company does NOT work. It can 😉
It may not be suitable for the target group, the communication strategy may be wrong, the implementation may be a screaming shame and there may be much more. It may cost time that you, the participants, could use better in other ways. We look at this and more. From Sinus Milieus to target groups, personas and SMART goals. We establish a foundation. We build on this, it has to hold up.
Then it continues with a lot of “dirty work” 😉We look at tools and systems that are similar to each other and yet very different from each other. Especially in terms of output. And that is what success is measured by in numbers. In followers, in likes, in ABC or KPI. Everything should be quick. Understanding above all. Understanding is equated with remembering, with comprehension, with usability. Red flag 😇
On days like these, I ask myself whether I should offer online training courses on Digibond. After all, there is probably a need for it. And here I have to take a look at myself.
